HomeSafe Inspection Colorado to offer advanced infrared technology for home inspections in Northern Colorado
…New technology raises standard for home inspections, empowers inspectors to ‘see’ through property’s walls, floors and ceilings, uncovering ‘invisible’ problems that would otherwise go undetected in an ordinary visual inspection
Fort Collins, Colorado Homeowners, home buyers and home sellers in Northern Colorado now have access to the world’s most advanced home inspection technology, thanks to HomeSafe Inspection Colorado, LLC.
HomeSafe Colorado, owned by local investors, will provide home inspections utilizing powerful infrared cameras and acoustic sensors. The company has four full time employees hired since November and intends to expand to twenty eight throughout the state over the next eighteen months.
This proprietary cutting-edge technology, initially researched at The University of Mississippi, enables inspectors to actually see and hear through a property’s walls, floors and ceilings, uncovering signs of damage and potential problems that may be missed in an ordinary visual inspection.
Inspection products offered using this new infrared technology are: real estate sales transactions, Stucco and EIFS evaluations, energy audits and home maintenance reviews. Each inspection is completed by a highly trained technician in both visual and infrared inspection processes and complies with the strictest home inspection standards and ethics.
“We are raising the standard for home inspections in Northern Colorado by introducing technology that minimizes the risk of human error in the inspection process” stated Jerry Tschikof President & CEO. “Home ownership is one of the largest investments made by individuals. Owners need all the information possible to maximize value of this asset regardless of present or future intentions. We are able to go the extra distance for customers because, not only are we highly trained in traditional visual inspections; we also have the power, trough infrared technology, to see what no one else can see. In a real estate transaction we create a win-win for everyone involved.”
The HomeSafe inspection process begins with a thorough infrared scan of the interior and exterior of a property. Differences in temperature show up as thermal variations on the cameras view screen, providing the inspector with crucial information about “invisible” problems like energy loss, faulty wiring, stucco/EIFS moisture intrusion, structural concerns, water damage and roof or pipe leaks. Once suspicious areas are identified, HomeSafe follows up with an in-depth visual inspection to identify the nature and cause of the problem.
“The way we use infrared technology for home inspection is genuinely unique in the industry” said Tschikof “We offer the most advanced inspection available that takes worry out of owning or buying residential real estate. Once people see the extra value, our type of inspection will become the preferred practice.
